Star Wars: The High Republic Adventures: Saber for Hire #2 | Comic Review

I like where things are going in Star Wars: The High Republic Adventures: Saber for Hire # 2, and I can’t wait to continue this story.

This book sees Ty Yorrick rescue a young Force sensitive child named Lene Kostana. She will eventually go on to become the master of a rather famous Jedi named Sifo Days.

As for Drewen, he decides to take off to rescue Chancellor Lina Soh’s son who is trapped in the Occlusion Zone. He does this, of course, without Ty’s permission. Drewen waves to make a name for their partnership! More business!

I’m a big Drewen fan, and my hope is that Ty becomes one, too. Their partnership is awkward and weird, and I love that. Star Wars needs more of it.

Ty is actually growing on me in this book? Sure, she’s abrasive and isn’t always the friendliest monster hunter in town, but hey, who is? I vividly remember liking her in The Rising Storm, but liking her a little less in both comic series that she’s had. Makes me sad. I hope that there’s some redemption for her and I in the next few issues.

This remains one of the best looking Star Wars books out there. Rachael Stott and Nicole Righi are just out here putting in a clinic on how to make a beautiful comic.

You can never go wrong with a comic book written by Cavan Scott.
