Lego Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy | TV Review

I was very excited when it was announced that we were getting Lego Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy. I love the Lego stuff set in the Star Wars universe, so this was right up my alley.

When the trailer first came out for this, I thought it was just going to be a “What If…?” version of Star Wars where the galaxy was “flipped” as they say. The good guys were the bad guys and the bad guys were the good guys. And, while that kind of happened, that wasn’t really the store we got, and I’m grateful for that

The story follows Sig Greebling (Gaten Materazzo) and his brother Dev (Tony Revolori) as they find an ancient Jedi artifact and… Disrupt things by accident, throwing the entire galaxy into pure chaos. Can it be fixed? What will be lost in the process? The story was very well done and honestly shocked me on multiple levels.

While the trailers spoiled the Darth Jar Jar of it all, my stepdaughter and I yelled “OH NO!” when they introduced Darth Nubs. What an absolute joy that was to see everyone’s favorite character from Young Jedi Adventures in another program. The various Sith characters were all so well done.

Maybe my favorite thing from the whole show was the fantastic Clone Trooper Ackbars running around and yelling, “It’s a trap.” Doesn’t get old for me.

I loved this, and I can’t wait to see more LEGO stuff from Star Wars. Landolorian, anyone?
