Kite Man: Hell Yeah! – Season 1 | TV Review

The first season of Kite Man: Hell Yeah! delivered in every single way that I wanted. It was excellent, and I sure hope we get more.

The relationship between Kite Man and Golden Glider took center stage as they came to grips with their feelings for each other. Despite how raunchy the show can be, they managed to tell a solid love story just like they did between Harley and Ivy in Harley Quinn.

The secondary cast of characters helps make the show soar. The absurdity of Bane, Malice, Sean Noonan, Queen of Fables, and Joe/Moe Dubelz helps make Kite Man and Golden Glider seem somewhat normal! It’s an amazing feat. And talk about a fun surprise when I realized that Mike from Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul was voicing Noonan.

Like in Harley Quinn before this, Bane is the standout, hilarious character. I swear they were just like, “How can we give all of the funniest lines to Bane?” when writing this show. The episode with the Sexiest Villain Competition had me laughing so hard when Bane finds out he’s been nominated.

This was also such a funny use of Darkseid. Every time he would show up and the chorus would sing “DARKSEID! DARKSEID! DARKSEID!”, I thought it was so funny.

The story was fun incorporating a bunch of villains, but I did miss the heroes that they managed to bring into Harley Quinn. It would’ve been fun to see them interact with some heroes in this.

Kite Man: Hell Yeah is fantastic, and you should check it out.
