I’m honestly not a big horror movie fan, but I can dig the stories where monsters or aliens are involved. I really enjoyed A Quiet Place, but I hadn’t been able to check out the sequel until recently. A Quiet Place Part II isn’t as good as the first movie, but it was a really great time.

The sequel takes place immediately following the end of the first movie, following the Abbott family dealing with its aftermath. Evelyn (Emily Blunt) and her three surviving kids have to navigate a world besieged by the blind alien monsters who hunt by sound.

John Krasinski did another excellent job writing and directing this film. The first A Quiet Place was really a breath of fresh air and showed that he does indeed have some talent at this.

This concept of the aliens only being able to hunt when they hear noise remains brilliant. The way that everything will be stone cold silent before someone accidentally makes a loud noise and everyone panics is tremendous. I can’t get enough.

There are two more movies in this world currently in the works. To round out the trilogy, A Quiet Place Part III is scheduled to come out in 2025. That will be beaten to the theaters this summer by A Quiet Place: Day One starring Lupita Nyong’o and Djimon Hounsou. Hounsou is set to reprise the character from Part II in the prequel.

We were able to check it out, because it’s streaming on Paramount+. I think you should watch it if you haven’t.
