Dune: Part Two told an epic story

Having never read the book(s),I was excited for the Dune movies. Now, having seen both films, I can say due certain that these are epic in the grandest sense.

I will admit that I wasn’t the biggest fan of Part One, and while most of that came down to it just not really meeting the hype, I also didn’t think a total complete story. And, I know that it was part one of two, but I still thought that it was incomplete.

Obviously, Part Two fixed that.

Told over Part One and Part Two, Dune still doesn’t tell a complete story, but it’s as close as we’re going to get anytime soon. That is, of course, unless the studio greenlights Dune Messiah.

Still, Dune: Part Two is an epic story that should be seen on the big screen. It’s a marvel. Denis Villeneuve did a great job with translating this book to the big screen.

I thought everyone did a great job on the acting side, and certain roles were over-acted in just the right amount (Hello, Austin Butler). It’s hard for me to think about any performance that I didn’t really enjoy. If I had to pick, I think. Javier Bardem was the standout for me.

With all that said, I can see how people will love this movie. It is hard science fiction. They throw so much information at you and it’s hard to keep track of that sometimes. Considering the source material and how difficult this has been to translate to the big screen for decades, it’s hard to find a fault.

Now, I need to start reading!

Dune: Part Two is an epic sorta-conclusion to the Dune saga that you should see if you’re a fan of science fiction. It is a dense, action packed romp.
