Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire | Movie Review

I went to go see Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire in the MX4D theater here. Let me tell you: that movie was stupid fun.

For some reason, the only movie or show that I’ve seen to date in the “Monsterverse” is Gareth Edwards’s Godzilla from 2014. There’s no real reason that I haven’t watched the other stuff. In fact, I’m pretty sure that I own Godzilla: King of the Monsters, and I have Apple TV+ for Monarch: Legacy of Monsters. I just never have gotten around to watching.

So, uh, The New Empire is a stupid fun movie. If you like giant monster movies, this is for you. It’s big, explosive, and dynamite. It’s also super fast paced. This thing moves.

Also, can we talk about the MX4D theater? This was my first time ever seeing a movie in this theater, and I think I had a good time? The seats moved like crazy while air and mist blew in my face and behind my head. It was kind of wild! I don’t know if I’m going to be willing to pay the cost to see it in this theater again (it was $20 for 10:30 am).

Though, I do kind of want to see the new Twisters movie like that. That seems like it might be fun? We’ll see.

At the end of the day, all I can say is that if you like big stupid fun explosive movies. This is 100% something that you should go see. I had a great time, and it’s an experience you don’t want to miss out on.
