Scooby-Doo! and Krypto, Too! was a fun animated adventure

When I was a kid, my younger brother and I would watch Scooby-Doo in the mornings before we left for school. They would air episodes of Scooby-Doo, Where Are You? on TBS or TNT (maybe both), and we loved it. Scooby-Doo is always a good time.

I’ve tried to watch the various Scooby-Doo animated movies that they have released over the years but haven’t been able to catch them all. But, the other day I was going through Max trying to find something to watch, and I saw Scooby-Doo! and Krypto, Too! and thought that I needed to check it out.

The plot of the movie was pretty good. Mystery Inc. is invited to Metropolis to investigate a mysterious phantom, and the Justice League has disappeared. What hijinks will ensue? Also! Lex Luthor used to be President of the USA, but Fred doesn’t seem to have any memory of this? What is going on? Why doesn’t he remember that?

The opening of the movie was very funny, and I loved the collaboration between the Scooby-Doo characters and the DC Comics characters. The use of not only the major DC villains like Joker and Lex Luthor but also the regular villains like Giganta and Solomon Grundy.

My favorite scene in the entire movie was when Scooby and Shaggy get trapped in the kitchen at the Hall of Justice where they accidentally begin summoning holographic images of the Legion of Doom. I was legit belly-laughing at this scene.

The movie is only an hour and twelve minutes long, so it’s a quick watch. If you’re a fan of Scooby-Doo, especially the direct-to-dvd/streaming shows, you’ll have a good time watching this.
