We’ve got the trailer for the final season of Star Trek: Discovery. I’m hopeful that this season will solidify this show, at least the last couple of seasons, as a really great part of Star Trek lore.

I was incredibly excited when they first announced Discovery. I didn’t come to Trek until I was already an adult. Seriously, the first Trek that I ever watched was the Abrams reboot. Since then, I’ve now seen everything. I was excited for modern Trek TV!

The first season of Discovery was really rough for me, but I’m glad that I stuck with it. I enjoyed a lot of seasons 2-4, and I have high hopes that season 5 puts a nice bow on the show. This show gave us Strange News and the upcoming Section 31 movie.

Also, I love David Ajala. I think I first saw him, that I can remember, as Manchester Black in Supergirl, and I love his character of Cleveland Booker in Discovery. He’s so good.

I think, like many Star Trek fans, that my relationship with Discovery has been very up-and-down. However, mine might be a little more positive than others. I’m hoping that this season is solid and sends the show out on a high note.
