The latest in The High Republic publishing initiative Star Wars: The High Republic Adventures: Dispatches from the Occlusion Zone # 1 tells a story “behind enemy lines”.
The book series is based on an event set forth in some of the novels. The Jedi and Republic use older droids to send through the Occlusion Zone, because the Nihil Stormwall can’t detect the older systems.
The first Dispatch from the Occlusion Zone heads to Eriadu. The planet and characters there have been the setting for the majority of The High Republic Adventures. Qort took center stage, and that’s awesome because Qort is the coolest.
I’m excited to see which characters we’ll be visiting throughout this miniseries. I’m assuming that we’ll check in with Emerick Caphtor as well at some point. I’m not going to read the solicits and spoil any of it.
I enjoyed the artwork in this book a lot. Was this the best looking version of Qort ever? I think it was my favorite at least. I don’t know what the plan is for the artwork, but I think it could be cool to have a different artist tell the different stories from the Occlusion Zone.
This is a great idea for a miniseries to gear up for the big finale of The High Republic publishing initiative.
