It’s an odd feeling preparing for a Star Wars video game that isn’t being produced by EA. With the exclusivity contract at an end, that’s exactly what we’re doing with the upcoming Star Wars Outlaws.

Outlaws is being made by Ubisoft and is expected to arrive in August of this year. I’m honestly surprised, because like many people, I was fully expecting this game to get delayed a few times.

The previous gameplay trailer was exciting and looked great, so knowing more about the story now, makes the have actually seem more real. I can’t wait to get involved in the criminal underworld.

The latest trailer is the “story trailer” and gives more info on what the game will actually be about. With the setting between The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi, we’ll be taking into account the comic events of War of the Bounty Hunters but before Crimson Reign and Hidden Empire.

The criminal underworld is in chaos. That’s the perfect setting for this game.

I plan to pre-order and play it upon release. I’m excited.
