Star Wars: Skeleton Crew: “This Could Be a Real Adventure” | TV Review

The first two episodes of Star Wars: Skeleton Crew are out, and while I’ve only had the ability to catch the first one so far, I like what I saw. It was fun and great

I was never that worried when it was revealed that Skeleton Crew was going to be about a group of kids who get lost in space. That just sounds like a totally fun concept to me.

And, that’s exactly what this first episode was. The kids stumble upon a starship and take off for the great unknown. I’m in. Instantly. Can’t wait for the second episode.

The mysteries are all working for me so far.

Sure, I can’t wait to find out more about this mysterious ship that the kids have stumbled upon, but that’s not what I’m most interested in about this show after one episode.

What is going on with their home planet of At Attin? There’s a seemingly fake “barrier” surrounding the planet to the point that the kids had no idea about his many stars there were? All of their teachers are droids?

The way the pirates boarded the New Republic ship was awesome.

When the pirates attacked the New Republic ship, I was so excited. The way that the pirates shot airlock tunnels in the side of the ship to board was awesome. That’s such a cool attack process that looked tremendous in live-action.

I hope we get to see something like that again at some point.

So far, so good with the kids.

I laughed so hard when the kids jumped to lightspeed for the first time in the ship. Their panicked screams were hilarious, especially when you compare them to what we normally see in Star Wars: endless awe and wonder.

I can’t wait to see what they do next.
