Tears of the Nameless is a fantastic yet brutal addition to The High Republic.
Tears of the Nameless is a fantastic yet brutal addition to The High Republic.
FINALLY! The proposal issue.
Marvel’s The High Republic series in Phase III is coming to an end. Not everyone is living through it.
Charles Soule set out to bridge the gap between Phase 1 and Phase 3 of The High Republic Era with the Marvel comic Shadows of Starlight. With the fourth book out now focused on Marchion Ro and the Nihil, he has successfully landed his mission.
When the first issue of Marvel’s Phase III of Star Wars: The High Republic revealed that (spoiler) Lourna Dee had survived and returned not as a member of the Nihil but as part of Skarabda the Hutts forces, I was surprised but glad. During Phase I, I enjoyed the journey that we got to go… Continue reading Marvel’s Star Wars: The High Republic #2 (Phase III) brings back a fan favorite character
Star Wars is my jam. Since Lucasfilm rebooted the canon post-Disney purchase, I’ve been reading all of the adult, young adult, and junior novels (and comics) released. Whenever a new Star Wars book is announced, I always go ahead and preorder it for my Kindle. Whenever I read a young adult or junior novel, I have to step back and remember one key sentence: I am not the target audience for this book. However, that doesn’t mean that I can’t enjoy them. Justina Ireland’s A Test of Courage stands at the top of the pack of Star Wars junior novels.
One of the highlights of The High Republic Era in Star Wars has been Daniel Jose Older’s High Republic Adventures comic. The all ages comic from Dark Horse (and, for Phase I, IDW) has been tremendous from the jump. The new #1 for Phase III, Trials of the Jedi, delivers high quality once again.
