DreamWorks recently released the trailer for their upcoming animated film The Wild Robot. It looks stunning, and I can’t wait to see it.

The movie is an adaptation of the first book in the trilogy from Peter Brown. One assumes that, if this is successful, they will be making those books into films as well.

The film stars Lupita Nyong’o, Pedro Pascal, Catherine O’Hara, Bill Nighy, Kit Connor, and Stephanie Hsu. The voice cast also includes legend Mark Hamill, Matt Berry, and Ving Rhames.

The epic adventure follows the journey of a robot—ROZZUM unit 7134, “Roz” for short — that is shipwrecked on an uninhabited island and must learn to adapt to the harsh surroundings, gradually building relationships with the animals on the island and becoming the adoptive parent of an orphaned gosling.
