I’ve been bombarded with the hype for White Lotus over the last few years, so I decided to catch up on the first two seasons ahead of the release of season three.

My wife loves this show. I believe we watched season one after it was all released, but she watched season two when he came out. She was hooked. She told me for a while that I needed to watch it, and I got her to agree to watch it with me.

We were able to finish season one of the show recently, and there were a lot of things that I liked and it. This was the season that I knew the least about (I remember season two being a big deal, so I heard some plot details.), so I didn’t really know any of the story.

I thought the casting was well done. I enjoyed everyone’s work, but Jake Lacy stood out. He provided a scary realistic performance as a rich douchebag who is likely going to abuse his partner one day.

The story wasn’t anything special, but it had its funny moments. I particular enjoyed the banter between Murray Bartlett’s Armond and Lacy’s Shane.

It’s not that I didn’t like season one of White Lotus, but all I remember is the insane hype and that was on when the show was airing. Now, it’s been so long. Dad, I honestly cannot remember if everybody was talking about the show during season one or only during season two? Oh well, I still enjoyed it.
