The trailer for Furiosa looks fantastic, and I can’t wait to see this movie.

To this day, I still remember when the first trailers were coming out for Mad Max: Fury Road. I was very lukewarm on things, only because I had seen all of the previous Mad Max movies, and I just wasn’t sure that it was my jam.

You remember the old Mel Gibson movies right? Cheaply made and very Australian, something about them just didn’t click for me.

Then, I watched Fury Road. I felt like something had rewired my brain. I vividly remember thinking, “Is this my favorite movie ever?” Clearly not. Hello, every Star Wars movie. But, I was blown away. It was visually stunning, and Charlize Theron was so captivating.

Do I think Anya Taylor-Joy can reach those same heights? I’m not sure. It’s a hard reach. Charlize crushed it. All I need from Taylor-Joy in this one is to come away thinking “Okay, I see the path for this character from Furiosa to Fury Road.

Plus, look at Chris Hemsworth. Goodness, what a man.
