Star Wars: The Bad Batch: “Flash Strike” | TV Review

The penultimate episode of The Bad Batch brings Clone Force 99 one step closer to rescuing Omega. It also brought them closer to helping free all of the clones being held hostage in Mount Tantiss.

The main goal of this episode was getting all of the main characters into the proper location for next week’s finale. Did they do it? Yes, I think they did.

Hunter, Wrecker, and Crosshair are all in position to launch their assault on the base and rescue mission next week. Sure, they may have lost Rampart, but that’s all the end of the world. My hope is all through my make it through the episode. I’m concerned about Crosshair making a sacrifice. I don’t want that. Please don’t do that.

I like the conversation between Echo and Emerie. I almost forgot that the Batch didn’t know there were kids locked up in Tantiss along with the clones that were being experimented on. Echo’s surprise reaction to Emerie talking about the kids in Project Necromancer was a nice reminder

Again, I really like that Omega is not just sitting back waiting to be rescued. She is looking for a way out, enlisting the other kids locked up with her to help, and may have found an escape.

I don’t know if it’s going to happen and I kind of doubt it, but I think it would be so awesome if she rode the Zillo beast like Boba Fett rode the rancor in The Book of Boba Fett. That’s probably not going to happen though, and I fully expect her just to let it loose somehow on the base.

It’s a bittersweet farewell to The Bad Batch next week. I really like this show. I can’t wait to see what they deliver in the finale
