X-Men ’97: “Lifedeath – Part 2” | TV Review

This week’s episode of X-Men ’97 was the weakest of the season to date for me. However, that doesn’t include Storm’s epic return. Wow.

Let’s just jump right into that.

Storm regains her powers in an outstandingly epic scene that must be seen to be believed. Her costume on the other side of this is phenomenal. Looking and I’m hoping that this means she will be the omega level mutant that we know she can’t be.

She also healed Forge and defeated the Adversary in this episode. Tremendous effort from her, and I hope that we didn’t see her sidelined again for any reason for the foreseeable future.

This episode opened, however, with Professor X with the Shi’ar… And him walking in a super suit? It’s it weird that I was kind of hoping he was really dead and not coming back?

The Shi’ar are in a war with the Kree, and we get an appearance by Ronan the Accuser which was fun. Lilandra wants to marry Charles, but her sister opposes it. There’s an awesome scene of Charles using his powers which was the second big highlight of the episode, but overall, this was the weakest part for me.

Then, in a scene at the end, we learn who was behind the attack on Genosha, and it was exactly who we thought it was. Mister Sinister.

I’m excited for next week.
