Star Wars: The Bad Batch: The Harbinger | TV Review

While most of the taking coming out of the recent episode of Star Wars: The Bad Batch “The Harbinger” is obviously centered around the resurrection of Asajj Ventress, I think the episode did a great job of setting the stage for the future for Omega and Clone Force 99

We’ll jump right into it and say that, yes, I need to know how Ventress was resurrected. They don’t tell you in the episode, but they have said that we will find out in future content. I think very few non-book readers will even know that she died. It’s okay. I will read the book or comic or whatever that features her resurrection. I’m sure it’ll be good.

Overall, the episode teases what we were teased with in the trailer. Pabu is in trouble. The Batch were surprised that Ventress was able to land her starship on the planet without them even knowing she was there. And, it certainly looks like the Empire invades in a future episode of this season.

Watching the Batch being overprotective of Omega was cute. They didn’t trust Ventress with Omega, especially once they confirmed their suspicions that she was a Separatist assassin. Ventress, however, pointed out that they’re not doing a great job protecting her and wouldn’t be able to protect her if the Empire comes for her.

It was cool that they finally said the word “Midichlorian” in this one, too. While I understand the secrecy around the “M-Count” usage, I’m glad they finally said the word.

Next week is a double episode. We’re probably in line for a good time!
